2 week doctor's appointment

Dahlia had her 2 week follow-up with the pediatrician today. She weighed 6 pounds 7 oz, so she has gained back her birth weight and then some. All of her newborn screenings came back negative, and her jaundice is almost completely cleared up. Dr. Braithwaite is very pleased with her progress, and so are Dahlia's parents!

Here are some recent pictures:

Laila thinks Dahlia is the best present we have ever given her.

Someone likes to suck and is now taking a pacifier when she has eaten her fill but still wants to suck on things before she falls back asleep. Hopefully she doesn't become as attached to her pacifier as her mom was to her bip-beers.

The cutest little monster in the world

The April issue of Our State magazine has a huge dahlia flower on it. How neat is that?

Welcome Dahlia!

At 5:23 p.m. on Sunday, April 15th, we welcomed Dahlia Ann into the world! Weighing 6 pounds, 2 oz, and measuring 19 inches long, she is a healthy, beautiful little girl.

So tiny! Even newborn sized clothes are big and baggy on her. Who knew the daughter of two very tall people could be so small?
